A global semiconductor client seeks a proven high-speed analog mixed-signal designer to coach, mentor, and technically guide a small team in the architecture and design of high-speed (20+gbps) SerDes and ethernet circuits. 10 mm FinFET. Fast tape outs on new iterations. Exciting solutions that include Industrial , automotive, healthcare, robotic and agricultural industries.

You have a choice of working in Colorado or Oregon. A comprehensive relocation package is offered. We also need mid to senior level mixed-signal engineering talent and digital designers.

You will evaluate and develop architectures. Own the analog and mixed-signal circuit design throughout the development cycle. Technically lead the design and development of complex SerDes products. Oversee layout and conduct post-layout simulations. Lead design reviews, lab evaluation, and debug. Assist in production test development.

Skills and experience that will get our attention:

- Commercializing high-speed SerDes circuits.

- Device physics of CMOS transistors, MIM capacitors, integrated inductors, and implanted resistors.

- Transistor-level design. Small signal and large signal CMOS device models.

- Recognizing potential problems due to model limitations, high-frequency effects, and device temperature effects.

- Characterizing and debugging mixed-signal SoCs.

- Package and layout parasitics. Extracted simulations.

- Cadence design, simulation, layout, and verification tools.

Desirable:

- PhD/MS

- Ethernet SerDes

- Video protocols such as DisplayPort, CSI/DSI, HDMI, and PCIe.

- Behavioral modeling, design, and synthesis of digital control blocks and state machines.

- Matlab and design of DSP blocks, including digital filters and decimators.

- Verilog, synthesis, place & route, and static timing analysis (STA).

- Several successful project lifecycles to the real world.
