Data Analytics (Architecture Engineer) - Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and delivery-focused Analytics Architecture Engineer (Power BI & Semantic Layer) to design and evolve enterprise analytics architecture within the Data Analytics COA team. This role is centered onhands-on architecture creation and implementation, including scalable semantic layer patterns, reusable integration components, and automation frameworks that accelerate governed analytics delivery across the firm.
The engineer will partner closely with analytics delivery teams and data platformstakeholders to define and implement COA reference architectures, enable self-service analytics, and drive reuse of enterprise semantic models. The role includes developing and maintaining API-driven and scripted automation for analytics processes such as metadata collection, validation routines, deployment enablement, and integration with enterprise tooling. The individual will also contribute to enhancing user experience through Power BI consumption patterns (including Power BI Mobile) and support adoption of AI-driven analytics capabilities, including early integration patterns for Copilot-enabled experiences where applicable.
This role operates on U.S. Eastern Time business hours to ensure close collaboration with U.S.-based business and technology stakeholders. The position reports directly to the Data Analytics Architecture Lead.

  • Snowflake cloud data platform
  • Power BI reporting and analytics
  • API knowledge, including integration with Power BI REST APIs and other enterprise systems
    - I capabilities (Copilot, AI visuals, automated insights)
  • Scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or Python to support analytics
  • Mobile-optimized dashboard design
  • Enterprise job scheduling tools (ie. Tidal)
  • Power BI Report Scheduler (PBRS)
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Enterprise data warehousing concepts and architectures
  • Semantic model development and tooling (ie. Cube Dev)

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a COA analytics architecture and enablement engineer, guiding delivery teams in designing, building, and scaling analytics solutions across Snowflake, Power BI, and enterprise semantic layers.
  • Provide hands-on architectural guidance for Power BI solution design, including dataset modeling, semantic layer implementation (Cube Dev / Power BI), and alignment to enterprise data warehousing patterns.
  • Define and review end-to-end analytics architectures, covering data sourcing from Snowflake, semantic modeling, report consumption (desktop, service, and mobile), and operational tooling.
  • Design, review, and optimize enterprise semantic models, ensuring consistent business logic, reusable measures, and alignment to underlying data warehouse structures.
