• Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
• Location: Fargo, ND (58104) — Fargo healthcare jobs / North Dakota nursing jobs
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730), every other weekend and holiday
• Hours per Week: 48 guaranteed hours per week (36 hours per week may be considered)
• Unit: 15-bed Med/Surg Admissions Unit (all private rooms) — medical-surgical nursing
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1 Days, 6:1 Nights
• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
• Setting: Acute care, Level 1 Trauma Center — ideal for Med/Surg RNs with trauma experience

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care or Level 1 Trauma Center setting
• EPIC electronic charting experience (Epic)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced medical-surgical environment
• Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility (travel RN requirement)

Responsibilities

• Perform initial admissions and provide care for patients awaiting unit assignment — Med/Surg RN admissions and triage
• Deliver high-quality clinical care to general medical/surgical patients using evidence-based practices
• Utilize EPIC, Zebra phones, Omnicell, and Aleris IV pumps for patient care documentation and medication administration
• Float to other medical/surgical units as needed to support staffing and patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a Level 1 Trauma Center to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation, patient safety standards, and regulatory compliance
