JOB TITLE: Security Engineer 3
LOCATION: New York, NY (Hybrid preferred, but open for Remote EST time zone)
PAY RANGE: $90 - $100/hr.
DURATION: 12 Months

TOP 3 SKILLS:

• 3-5 years of experience developing full-stack applications using Python and React JS.
• Experience working with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, AI APIs such as Microsoft Azure OpenAI, and retrieval-based systems using vector databases or embeddings.
• Experience with cloud and modern engineering practices, including Azure, CI/CD, Git, and Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python and React JS with a strong focus on AI-driven functionality
• Build and enhance AI-powered internal tools that enable secure and intelligent software development practices
• Integrate and work extensively with AI/ML services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, LLM APIs, vector databases, and related infrastructure)
• Implement features leveraging modern AI techniques such as prompt engineering, model integration, and retrieval-augmented systems
• Collaborate closely with product, security, and engineering teams to translate AI-driven use cases into robust technical solutions
• Contribute to system design and architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and AI integration
• Actively participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, code reviews, and iterative delivery
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate engineering productivity
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize both application and AI system performance
• Stay current with advancements in AI/ML and apply them to improve product capabilities and developer workflows

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with exposure to full-stack or backend systems
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript (React JS preferred)
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience working with AI systems, including:
• Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications
• Prompt engineering and model interaction patterns
• Working with AI APIs (e.g., Azure OpenAI or similar platforms)
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval-based systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud-native services
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and modern development workflows
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging AI technologies in a fast-evolving landscape
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams
• Interest in building secure, AI-driven applications and improving developer productivity through innovation

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
