The following is a summary of the job responsibilities; this is not an all-inclusive list:

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance and grounds at the Regional Training Site in Fargo, ND. Duties include providing consistent maintenance services while adhering to safety practices and procedures. This is a "working" supervisor position that reports to the Physical Plant Director.

The Maintenance Supervisor will perform the work of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and equipment operation. May be responsible for overseeing temporary staff and contractors, determine work schedules, conduct training, maintain inventory of maintenance equipment and repair parts, determine equipment maintenance needs and carry out a preventative maintenance program. Responsible for the overall maintenance of buildings and grounds at the Regional Training Site. Conduct physical inspections of the buildings and grounds to ensure established standards are met. Ability to lift up to 50 lb., possess a valid driver's license and may be required to work some weekends or additional hours, if needed. The incumbent requires a high degree of written and/or verbal communication skills in dealing with contractors, clients, and the general public. Individuals will be required to have a pesticide applicators license or ability to obtain by a date determined by the Physical Plant Director.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and five (5) years of semiskilled or skilled building, mechanical, groundskeeping, maintenance, and/or construction work involving the operation of maintenance equipment with experience in a supervisory or lead-worker capacity. Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks and background investigation is required.
