Description:

Position Summary: Lead technical support for customers in wide web flexographic and gravure printing. Specialize in water-based and solvent-based inks and coatings. Oversee technical activities, manage relationships, and ensure product success. Drive excellence, growth, and satisfaction through expert service and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical support for wide web flexo and gravure customers using water and solvent-based products.
  • Oversee on-site troubleshooting, ink optimization, and product performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate press trials, product introductions, and technical audits at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with R&D, sales, manufacturing, and regulatory teams for tailored solutions.
  • Develop technical service strategies to support retention, growth, and innovation.
  • Build relationships with customer stakeholders as the primary technical contact.
  • Mentor technical representatives and field service personnel.
  • Maintain documentation, reports, and logs for issue resolution and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for solvents, emissions, and stewardship.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Printing Technology, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years in technical roles supporting wide web flexographic or gravure printing.
  • Proven experience with water-based and solvent-based inks and coatings in flexible packaging .
  • Ability to lead customer-facing engagements and manage projects independently.
  • Strong knowledge of pressroom processes, ink/substrate interactions, drying systems, and surface treatments.
  • Skilled in color matching, print troubleshooting, and defect analysis.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 70% to customer sites, plants, and meetings.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with color management systems (e.g., X-Rite).
  • Understanding of lamination, coating, and post-print converting processes.
  • Familiarity with VOC compliance, safety protocols, and regulations.
