Description:

Brooksource is supporting our client, a leading construction company, in a large-scale data center build-out project. We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Oversight Manager to support and monitor all commissioning activities across complex, mission-critical environments.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for commissioning oversight, ensuring alignment between construction, commissioning agents, and project leadership from system start-up through final turnover.

Oversee all commissioning activities led by the client's Commissioning Agent (CxA)
Ensure commissioning aligns with overall construction schedules, milestones, and turnover timelines
Coordinate across MEP trades, vendors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to support seamless project execution
Review and validate commissioning scripts, schedules, and reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intent
Track commissioning progress and proactively identify risks, delays, or gaps
Attend commissioning meetings, represent the project team, and witness key system tests
Support system start-up readiness, pre-functional testing, and integrated systems testing (IST)
Maintain logs for commissioning issues, punch lists, and closeout documentation
Partner with QA/QC teams to ensure all turnover packages meet commissioning requirements
Promote and uphold strong safety practices throughout all commissioning phases

7+ years of experience in commissioning, MEP construction, or critical systems environments
~ Experience supporting data center or mission-critical projects strongly preferred
~ Strong understanding of commissioning levels (L1–L5) and integrated systems testing
~ Hands-on knowledge of construction workflows, system start-up, and project scheduling
~ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, control sequences, commissioning scripts, and reports
~ Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders including owners, subcontractors, engineers, and Cx agents
~ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience)
~ Commissioning certifications (CxA, LEED, etc.) Opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact data center projects
High-visibility role with direct influence on project delivery and system performance
Per diem offered for candidates traveling longer distances

This role will include a mix of job site presence and coordination activities, requiring collaboration with on-site teams and project stakeholders. Travel may be required depending on project needs.
