Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
The assembler works on a first or second-shift schedule, performing hands-on assembly and disassembly of drivetrain parts and related components to meet strict quality standards. This role uses blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices, and precision tools to ensure products meet specifications, while also supporting preventive maintenance, continuous improvement activities, and cross-training across various areas of the shop.
Responsibilities
Perform basic assembly and disassembly operations on drivetrain parts and related components according to established procedures and quality standards.
Use blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices, and other equipment to verify that all work meets required quality specifications.
Operate precision measuring devices to accurately assemble and disassemble final products.
Interpret and understand blueprints effectively to guide assembly and disassembly tasks.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Assist in identifying quality or process issues and help initiate corrective action processes.
Conduct Safety Stop Audits and safety observations as required to support a safe working environment.
Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Process Improvement and Development (PID) initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Support cross-training efforts by performing additional duties or tasks in various areas of the shop as assigned.
Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and efficiently while working with mechanical assemblies.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and disassembly of components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Proficiency using hand tools, gauges, torque measuring devices, and precision measuring instruments.
Capability to inspect, assemble, and reassemble drivetrain parts to meet quality standards.
Basic understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
Attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality specifications.
Ability to identify issues in parts or processes and support corrective actions.
Willingness to participate in safety audits and follow established safety procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a structured, first-shift production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in mechanical assembly or disassembly is encouraged.
Experience with agricultural or construction equipment assembly is a plus.
Experience in mechanics or related technical trades is encouraged.
Interest in participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Willingness to cross-train and support different areas of the shop as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Fargo, ND.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.53 - $26.13/hr.
