Job Details
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Sr Financial Analyst (FP&A) to analyze financial and operational data to support financial planning, operating expense management, and FP&A systems. This role will prepare various deliverables for both internal and external financial reporting needs, including quarterly GAAP and STAT reporting, monthly earnings and expense analysis, and plan and forecast activities. The Sr Financial Analyst will take ownership, identify process improvement opportunities for existing processes and drive positive change across the organization. The position will also be required to develop reporting that will provide key business insights and aid in the strategic decision‑making process.

Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze and report detailed expense reporting, including tracking actual performance against budget and forecast by account, cost center, function and project.

Day‑to‑day system administration and coordination with IT to manage data in FP&A systems.

Prepare and analyze information for inclusion in monthly internal business review materials.

Perform other month end/quarter end accounting processes, such as preparing and posting journal entries and monitoring accounts for unusual trends and/or fluctuations.

Prepare and analyze other quarterly reporting in support of internal and external management meetings, including reporting on a consolidated level.

Analyze key performing metrics and provide strategic insights based on the analysis.

Perform ad hoc analysis.

Maintain adequate documentation and controls over existing processes.

Assist in training and development of analysts.

Qualifications
The Sr Financial Analyst position is well‑suited for you if you:

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

At least 7 years of related work experience with 5 years of Financial Analysis experience.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, Tableau, Alteryx, Hyperion, Essbase, Concur, Business Objects, and Microsoft suite.

Understand, extract and transform data from various key financial systems and tools (Hyperion, Essbase, Concur, Business Objects and Microsoft suite).

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree preferred.

Insurance experience preferred.

CPA or CFA preferred.

Compensation
Pay Range: $81,000.00 – $121,600.00 Annual
