Accounts Payable Specialist As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our payables system. You will ensure precise data entry, manage sales tax adjustments, and apply vendor credits, all while obtaining necessary approvals. Additionally, you will handle various banking responsibilities, including check status research, printing and mailing paper checks, and managing payment cancellations.
Responsibilities
Enter accurate information in payables systems.
Make invoice adjustments for sales tax and review account coding.
Apply vendor credits and ensure appropriate approvals.
Research check status, print and mail paper checks, and manage check cancellations.
Prepare general ledger journal entries.
Respond to internal and external customers regarding disbursements and payment status.
Contact vendors to resolve payment discrepancies and provide payment history to customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred: Associates degree in Accounting or related field.
Preferred: 5 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting.
Required: 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.

The position involves a standard office setting, working with computer systems and software, particularly Microsoft Excel, to manage accounts payable tasks. The work schedule is typical business hours, with a focus on maintaining detailed records and handling administrative duties efficiently.

Pay and Benefits
