About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a unique and demanding role that goes beyond traditional financial leadership. The successful candidate will be an enterprise-level operator deeply embedded in the manufacturing environment, responsible for architecting and executing a critical transition phase. This includes building modern financial infrastructure, implementing real-time job costing and production visibility, driving budgeting, forecasting, and margin discipline, and professionalizing accounting and payroll processes. The CFO will also be tasked with integrating financial oversight with shop-floor operations, reducing founder dependency, and ultimately assuming day-to-day enterprise leadership.The ideal CFO for The Company will have a background in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments, with a strong focus on operational partnership and a proven track record in financial and operational integration. Required experience includes 10-15+ years in a similar setting, expertise in job costing systems, FP&A buildout, and a deep understanding of cost accounting. The role demands a leader who is financially disciplined yet operationally curious, comfortable in both shop floor and executive settings, and capable of earning trust in a founder-led environment. Highly valued attributes include experience in structural steel, metal fabrication, or industrial production, as well as exposure to ERP implementation, automation, and robotics ROI modeling. The CFO will be instrumental in developing second-layer leadership, creating documented processes, and positioning the business for ownership transition.
