Job Description Job Description Civil Engineer IFargo, North DakotaMBN Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer to support civil site design and construction documentation efforts in our Fargo, ND office. This position is intended for entry-level engineers seeking to develop technical proficiency under the supervision of licensed Professional Engineers (PEs) while contributing to active civil engineering projects.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of civil engineering construction documents, including plans, details, specifications, and quantity/cost estimatesApply established company design standards, quality control procedures, and engineering best practicesPrepare engineering calculations, technical memoranda, reports, and project exhibitsInterpret and apply municipal zoning, land development codes, and design standardsSupport civil site design tasks such as grading, drainage, utilities, and layout using AutoCAD® Civil 3DPerform site visits and inspections; document findings in written reportsCoordinate tasks with project engineers and maintain assigned schedules and deliverablesRequired & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program0–4 years of relevant experience (new graduates encouraged to apply)Working knowledge of AutoCAD® Civil 3D preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office®; familiarity with Bluebeam® a plusInternship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferredAbility to perform technical tasks with attention to detail and accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's licenseEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hireIntent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensureCompensation & BenefitsFull-time position (40 hours/week)Salary range: $60,000–$70,000 , based on qualifications and experienceSummer work schedule (Memorial Day–Labor Day):Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.Friday: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.Benefits package includes:Health, dental, vision, and prescription insurance (80% company paid)Disability and life insurance (100% company paid)Paid time off and eight paid holidaysHealth Savings Account (HSA)401(k) with profit sharingContinuing education and PE license renewal reimbursementCompany InformationMBN Engineering provides professional consulting services to architects and developers for mechanical, electrical, civil, and transmission engineering services.
