They will review the final product with the customer for both assurance and compliance. The Check Out Assistant will also ensure the customer was satisfied with their visit/experience at Sota Sown Cannabis.We emphasize understanding how terpenes influence mood, relief, and effect , not just THC percentages.If you are passionate about cannabis education, customer care, and creating a safe, welcoming retail environment — this is the place for you.ResponsibilitiesEngage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing, intimate retail environmentPlay an active part in patients' and/or customers' education on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of patient interactionPromote a work environment that is positive, communicative, patient and/or customer-orientedAssist in verifying order deliveries for accuracyProvide necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities, maintenance, and patient information for any reported issues and/or complaintsEnsure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheldMaintain hard copy files as requiredFollow security measures and safety compliance proceduresWorkstation DutiesFront of House: POS (Kiosk, In-Store, Pre-Order), Curbside, Roll ThruBack of House: FulfillmentMaintenance: Uphold cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the dispensaryOther duties as assignedQualificationsPrefer at least one year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experienceMeet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends)Must have reliable, responsible, and dependable attendanceMust be 21 years or olderMust pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirementsPossess a valid driver's license or state IDMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industryPrior cannabis experience not requiredAdditional RequirementsMove about the dispensary to fulfill work assignments and assist patients and/or customers in various locations of the dispensaryRemain in a stationary position, if required, to meet the needs of the businessConverse and communicate with individuals and groups of people directlyOperate point of sale system, computer, and other office productivity machinery to use online programming and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and emailPrepare patient and/or customer orders by moving and placing productsInspect and receive detailed information, such as patients' and/or customers' dates of birth, in-store or online orders, or inquiriesMove inventory and materials weighing up to 15 pounds independentlyPosition self to move inventory and materials in storage areasSkillsConsistent demonstration of excellent customer service skillsDesire to continuously learn (more) about cannabis, cannabinoids, and the endocannabinoid system, GTI products, and cannabis therapies – previous knowledge preferredAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employeesAbility to listen well and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with various audiencesPrevious experience with POS systemsUnderstanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, and standard operating proceduresEmployee must be able to follow instructions as directed and incorporate constructive criticism from managersOperate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and complying with HIPAA and OSHA requirements.Working ConditionsPatient and/or customer-facing environmentAbility to work outdoors in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditionsExposure to cannabis and/or allergens that might be present in an environment where cannabis is present and prevalentBackground Check & Disqualifying OffensesHuman traffickingNoncannabis controlled substance crimes (1st or 2nd degree)Labor traffickingFraudEmbezzlementExtortionMoney launderingInsider tradingAll employees are subject to a criminal background check under Minnesota Statutes Chapter 342 and OCM rules.
