Be part of a team that is ringing the bell of excellence and making a difference every day!WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORThe Purchasing and Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing supplier relationships, purchasing activities, inventory control, and quality assurance processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Accounting, and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal product flow, uphold quality standards, and drive continuous operational improvement. You will serve as a trusted advisor and set a positive and encouraging example in the process.Purchasing and Logistics Specialist Key Responsibilities:Source parts and materials; identify and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, and delivery timelinesCreate and manage purchase orders; verify order accuracy, timeliness, and invoice reconciliationMaintain strong supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for order updates and issue resolutionMonitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and maintain healthy product flowUse historical purchasing data to forecast buying needs and support production planningCollaborate with Sales, Warehouse, Engineering, and Accounting teams to resolve part shortages and shipping/receiving issuesSupport and implement quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing productsAssist with inventory audits and maintain accurate stock recordsDevelop and improve procedures to streamline purchasing, logistics, and operational workflowsEnsure compliance with applicable regulations and internal standardsApply practical problem-solving skills to address daily operational challengesPurchasing and Logistics Specialist – Additional Possibilities:Receiving & processing of partsAssist with optimizing the shipping/receiving products and mitigate losses.Collaborate with management and other departments to close operational gaps.Material handling, forklift and truck/trailer operationAssisting with product installs at customer job sitesAssistance with part deliveries and customer field visitsBe a part of a new ERP implementation, focusing on inventory modulesPurchasing and Logistics Specialist Qualifications:Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field3+ years' experience in procurement or purchasing of products and materialsGood negotiation and problem-solving skillsAdequate knowledge of metal fabrication processesIn depth knowledge of the manufacturing industryAble to effectively work in a team and with diverse customers to meet their project needsStrong problem solving and communication skillsAbility to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectivelyAbility to work independently/self-directed and as a member of a teamStrong work ethic, integrity, and initiativeMechanical and/or Farm industry experience/backgroundAttention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management skillsPassion for metal fabrication and agricultural industry is a plusStrong Excel, QuickBooks, ERP, and related experienceRelocation Assistance:This position may be eligible for relocation assistance of up to $8,000. To qualify, you must be moving to North Dakota from another state and currently live more than 100 miles away.
