It may include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping floors, emptying and cleaning wastebaskets and wiping down work areas. This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.ResponsibilitiesClean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixturesSweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfacesCollect trash throughout the facility and transport to proper locationReplenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.Perform additional cleaning services as requiredDispose properly of all public sanitation items in compliance with DigiKey's infectious waste control trainingRequired Knowledge, Skills, and ExperiencePublic sanitation compliance and/or infectious waste control training, preferredMust be able to read, write, and communicate in EnglishRegular and consistent attendance due to the need to access physical equipmentAbility to work and communicate effectively in a team environment or individually with minimal supervisionAbility to understand and follow safety proceduresAbility to provide a professional and enthusiastic outlook and perspectiveSelf‑motivation to maintain a clean work environment throughout the facilityCapable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc.Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and successTools / Systems / SoftwareScrubber/Sweeper managementOutlookWorkday (will be trained on the job)Physical RequirementsPhysical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as the operation of cleaning equipment as requiredCapable of standing or walking the entire shiftCapable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from the floor to shoulder heightCompensationStarting base pay rate: $20.00 per hourMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
