Associate Sterile Processing Technician Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world‑class health care in America's heartland.Schedule: Monday–Friday, no weekends, 6 am–2:30 pm. 40 hours per week with 2 holidays per year. No union position. 8‑hour day shifts. Compensation: salary range $17.50–$23.50 per hour. Daily Pay available to access earned wages before payday.We are looking for an Associate Sterile Processing Technician, no experience required. On‑the‑job training will be provided. The role involves preparing, cleaning, processing, and storing surgical instruments and supplies for patient care, ensuring clean, safe, sterile instruments are available to hospital staff.Responsibilities Ensure all patient care and surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly inventoried, inspected, stored, distributed and reprocessed in a quality and timely manner throughout the health system.Follow standard operating procedures (SOP), policies, infection prevention and control guidelines.Recognize potential and actual processing errors, notify leadership and follow up according to procedure or instruction.Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintain continuity in workflow.Use technologies such as copy and fax machines, internet, handheld devices, electronic medical records, instrument tracking systems, inventory management systems, email and Microsoft Office.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in central processing or healthcare environment preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.Strong phone and computer skills; ability to navigate the internet and use handheld devices.Certified in Central Service Technology (CRCST) strongly preferred within 24 months of hire.Sanford is an EEO/AA Employer M/F/Disability/Vet.
