Job Summary Freight Handler Overnight position at CrossCountry Freight Solutions. Shift: 10:00p.m.–6:00a.m. Responsibilities include loading and unloading freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or handcarts; tracking freight with handheld scanners; identifying and staging inbound freight; verifying condition; and performing other duties as assigned.Essential Job Duties Safely load and unload trailers utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or hand cart.Use handheld scanners to efficiently track and document freight through our network.Accurately identify, sticker, and stage inbound freight.Verify the condition of freight to assure quality standards.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements At least 18 years of age.Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 90 pounds.At least six months of verifiable forklift experience.Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.Physical Demands Frequent squatting and crouching to handle freight.Safely maneuver freight/pallets weighing up to 2,500pounds onto a dolly or cart with a force of up to 130pounds with mechanical aid in various environments/conditions.Carry freight weighing up to 40pounds for a distance of up to 20feet.Help load and unload full trailers of freight weighing up to 45,000pounds with mechanical aid.Open and close cargo doors and climb in/out of vehicles.Benefits All regular full‑time employees are eligible for CrossCountry's benefit package after 30 days of employment.
