The Facilities Associate's main responsibility is to follow the daily work schedule for the assigned area, including cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping floors, emptying/cleaning wastebaskets, and wiping down work areas. This is an essential onsite role requiring regular attendance.ResponsibilitiesClean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures.Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces.Collect trash throughout the facility and transport to proper location.Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.Perform additional cleaning services as required.Dispose properly of all public sanitation items in compliance with DigiKey's infectious waste control training.Required Knowledge, Skills, And ExperiencePublic sanitation compliance and/or infectious waste control training, preferred.Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.Regular and consistent attendance due to the need to access physical equipment.Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision.Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.Ability to provide a professional and enthusiastic outlook and perspective.Self‑motivation to maintain a clean work environment throughout the facility.Capable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc.Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success.Tools/Systems/SoftwareScrubber/Sweeper management.Outlook.Workday (will be trained on the job).Physical RequirementsPhysical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as the operation of cleaning equipment as required.Capable of standing or walking the entire shift.Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from the floor to shoulder height.CompensationThe starting base pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.Employment EligibilityMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
