Applications will only be accepted while the posting remains active.The Distribution Center (DC) Facilities Associate is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the company's buildings and grounds. This role performs routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, while coordinating with contractors for more complex issues. The technician maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, schedules regular upkeep, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Additional duties include facility upkeep such as lighting, landscaping, cleaning, and inventory of maintenance supplies. The position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, clean, and well‑functioning work environment.ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsSurveys buildings and grounds, locates and identifies areas in need of repair, determines necessary repairs, and performs work as appropriate or reports problems to supervisor.Makes simple repairs and adjustments on mechanical, electrical, appliance, and plumbing as needed, and records areas for repairs requiring contractor or service provider involvement.Performs regular preventive maintenance to plant equipment such as greasing valves, pumps, pneumatics, HVAC systems, and makes minor equipment adjustments.Develops and maintains work logs, inventory and equipment control records, and preventive maintenance records.Establishes a schedule for periodic maintenance for buildings and grounds and collaborates with supervisor to address items needing attention.Coordinates and facilitates execution of work with outside service providers or contractors as needed.Performs non‑technical tasks such as snow removal, watering and maintenance of landscaping features, cleaning, and painting touch‑ups.Ensures all light fixtures are operational, changing light bulbs as necessary.Conducts regular inspections of the warehouse and office areas to identify safety hazards and addresses them promptly.
