Shipping & Packaging Specialist

Location: Fargo, ND

Compensation: $20.00 - 22.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday + occasional weekend OT when needed

Job Type: Temporary/Contract

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Shipping & Packaging Specialists for a woodworking manufacturer located in the Fargo area. They're looking for people who take pride in making sure a finished piece arrives exactly as it left their shop. They train the right people so attention to details and reliability matter. What You'll Do as a Shipping & Packaging Specialist:

• Assemble and inspect each piece first, nothing gets wrapped until it passes
• Clean every surface so no dust or debris gets trapped under the wrap
• Photo-document every shipment to the required checklist (it protects on claims)
• Wrap and protect all parts, with extra foam on corners, edges, and finished surfaces
• Build crates strong enough to survive real handling, packed tight so nothing moves
• Label and stage for shipment (fragile, do not stack, no-stack cones)
• Use downtime as prep time: cut foam, build crate parts, keep packing materials stocked

What You Need to Bring to the Shipping & Packaging Specialist Role:

• Experience is a plus but not required, they train the right person
• Careful hands, you understand these are high-value, one-of-a-kind goods
• Reliable and on time, day in and day out
• Able to lift 50+ lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation) and stay on your feet for a full shift
• Basic phone / computer comfort for photos, labels, and records
• Team player who keeps a tidy, orderly workspace
