Riverview Place is hiring a Maintenance Technician at either the Maintenance Technician I or Maintenance Technician III level, based on experience and technical skills.

In this role, youll help maintain our apartments, common areas, building systems, equipment, and grounds, creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Starting Pay:

• Maintenance Technician I: Starting at $17.00 per hour
• Maintenance Technician III: Starting at $25.00 per hour

These positions perform a variety of general and skilled maintenance duties, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement of building equipment and systems. Responsibilities may vary based on experience and skill level.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs of apartments, common areas, building systems, and grounds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, doors, windows, and screens.
• Maintain building exteriors and assist with painting, snow, and ice removal.
• Respond to maintenance requests and participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
• Communicate professionally with residents, staff, and management.
• Follow all safety policies and CHI Living Communities mission and values.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance Technician I: 12 years of apartment, facility, or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintenance Technician III: 23 years of building maintenance experience with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and completing more advanced repairs.
• General knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and grounds maintenance preferred.
• Ability to participate in snow and ice removal and an on-call rotation as needed.
• Criminal background check and drug screening are required as a condition of employment.
